Case Summary: A law professor was charged under section 4 of the Sedition Act for remarks made to an online newspaper. He challenged the constitutionality of the colonial era-Sedition Act, and particularly the provisions of section 4. The Federal Court held that the restrictions on free speech imposed by section 4 of the Sedition Act were reasonable restrictions allowed by Article 10(2) of the Federal Constitution.
