Objectives of the Service አገልግሎቱ የሚከተሉት ዓላማዎች ይኖሩታል፡፩/ ኢትዮጵያ ለልማትና ለዲሞክራሲያዊ The Service shall have the following objectives: ሥርዓት 1/ Collect, organize, analyze and disseminate balanced ግንባታ የምታደርጋቸውን ኢኮኖሚያዊ፣ማህበራዊና and accurate news and news related reports as well ፖለቲካዊ as programs about the economic, social and political እንቅስቃሴዎች አግባብ ባላቸው ፖሊሲዎችና ሕጎች መሰረት ሚዛናዊና ትክክለኛ መረጃዎችን በማሰባሰብ፣በማደራጀትና በመተንተን ዜና እና ፕሮግራሞችን ዜና ነክ በአገር ዘገባዎችን ውስጥና እንዲሁም በውጪ አገር activities Ethiopia undertakes in enhancing development and in building a democratic order, based on the appropriate policies and laws of the country; ማሰራጨት፤ ፪/ የአገሪቱን ገፅታ መገንባት፤ 2/ Build the image of the country; ፫/ የአገሪቱን ብሔራዊ ጥቅም የሚመለከቱ ዓለምአቀፍ 3/ Cover global issues of national interest; ጉዳዮችን መዘገብ፤ ፬/ በተለያዩ ጉዳዮች ላይ የሕዝብ አስተያየት ጥናት ማካሔድ፣እንደአስፈላጊነቱ ማተምና ማሰራጨት፤ ፭/ ኢትዮጵያን በሚመለከቱ ጉዳዮች በአገር ውስጥና በውጪ አገር ዋነኛ የዜና ምንጭ ሆኖ ማገልገል፤ 4/ Conduct opinion polls on various issues, Publish and disseminate them as found necessary; 5/ Serve as a main source of news locally and abroad on issues pertaining to Ethiopia;
