Article 2 (Code of Ethics) (1) The providers of information and communications services, defined under Article 2 (1) 3 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (hereinafter referred to as the "Act"), or an association of such providers may establish and enforce a code of ethics in order to protect users and to ensure soundness and safety in providing information and communications services. <Amended on Jan. 28, 2009; Aug. 4, 2020> (2) An association of users defined under Article 2 (1) 4 of the Act may establish and enforce a users’ code of ethics for the establishment of a sound information society. (3) The Government may provide assistance to activities for the establishment and enforcement of the code of ethics under paragraph (1) or (2).
