is guilty of a misdemeanour.
125.
A n y person who by any solicitation or request addressed
to any judge, magistrate or settlement officer or to any official of
a court endeavours improperly to influence the result of any
judicial proceeding, is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to
imprisonment for one year or to a fine of fifty pounds or to both
such penalties.

126.
A n y person who by any means of publication publishes
news, reports or criticisms which are calculated to influence the
m i n d of any judge, magistrate or settlement officer who may be
called upon to give a decision i n any pending action or other
judicial proceeding or to influence the m i n d of witnesses, or to
prevent persons from giving information to the authorities, is
guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for six
months.

127.
A n y person who by any means of publication publishes
in bad faith an incorrect report of proceedings i n a court is guilty
of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for six months.

128.
A n y person who by any means of publication opens or
gives publicity to a subscription for the purpose of defraying any
fine, costs or damages adjudged by the sentence of a court i n a
criminal case is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to i m prisonment for six months.

129.
A n y person who asks, receives or obtains, or agrees or
attempts to receive or obtain any property or benefit of any kind
for himself or any other person upon any agreement or understanding that he w i l l compound or conceal a felony w h i c h is not
lawfully compoundable, or w i l l abstain from, discontinue or delay
a prosecution for such a felony, or w i l l withhold any evidence
thereof, is guilty of a misdemeanour.

130.
A n y person who :—
(a) publicly offers a reward for
which has been stolen or lost,
of any words purporting that
or that the person producing
seized or molested; or
the return of any property
and i n the offer makes use
no questions w i l l be asked,
such property w i l l not be

(b) publicly offers to return to any person who may have
bought or advanced money by way of loan upon any stolen
or lost property the money so paid or advanced, or any
other sum of money or reward for the return of such
property; or
(c)
prints or publishes any such offer;
is guilty of a misdemeanour.
131. —(1) A n y person who :—
( a ) by speech or writing uses any words of any judge,
whether of a court of a c i v i l , criminal or religious jurisdiction or any magistrate, i n respect of I his office w i t h
intent to defame h i m i n that capacity; or |
