Every person who is a legal resident of the State of Qatar shall enjoy the protec on of his person and property in accordance with the provisions of the Law.   Article 53  Defending the country is the duty of every ci zen.   Article 54  A public post is a na onal service. Those persons who perform public roles/du es shall at all  mes act in the public interest.   Article 55  Public funds are inviolable and their protec on shall be the duty of everyone in accordance with the Law.   Article 56   Public  confisca on  of  property  is  prohibited.  Private  property  confisca on  is  only  by  the  courts  and  in  cases specified by the Law.   Article 57
