Builders' Supply Co (Hayes) Ltd 1960 RPC 128, which were quoted and applied in Harvey Tiling Co (Pty) Ltd v. Rodomac (Pty) Ltd & Another 1977 (1) SA 316 (T). The English judgments applied the broad prin¬ ciple of the English law of equity that he who has re¬ ceived information in confidence shall not take unfair advantage of it. In Dun and Bradstreet (supra) it was held at 213-215 that the equitable cause of action based on breach of confidence which is available in England does not exist in our law; but that does not mean that the misuse of confidential information in order to ad¬ vance.......
