(6) I f the court before which the offender is bound by a bond to appear for sentence is satisfied, or any other court of the like jurisdiction is satisfied, by information on oath that the offender has failed to observe any of the conditions of the bond, it may issue a warrant for his arrest and may forthwith, without further proof of his guilt, sentence h i m for the original offence. General punishment for misdemeanour. 47. W h e n i n this Code no punishment is specially provided for a misdemeanour, any person convicted thereof is liable to i m prisonment for three years, or to a fine of one hundred pounds, or to both such penalties. Sentences cumulative unless otherwise ordered. 48. Where a parson after conviction for an offence is convicted of another offence, either before sentence is passed upon h i m under the first conviction or before the expiration of that sentence, any sentence, other than a sentence of death, which is passed upon h i m under subsequent conviction, shall be executed after the expiration of the former sentence, unless the court directs that it shall be executed i n lieu of the former sentence or of any part thereof. Treason. 49. —(1) A n y person who levies war against H i s Majesty i n order to intimidate or overawe the H i g h Commissioner is guilty of treason and is liable to the punishment of death. (2) A n y person conspiring with any other person whether such other person is either w i t h i n or without Palestine to levy war against H i s Majesty w i t h intent to cause such levying of war as would be treason if committed by a subject of H i s Majesty, is guilty of treason and is liable to the punishment of death: Provided that where a woman convicted under the provisions of this section is found upon evidence to the satisfaction of the court to be pregnant, she is liable to imprisonment for life. Instigating invasion. 50. A n y person who instigates any person to invade Palestine w i t h an armed force is guilty of treason, and is liable to the punishment of death : Provided that where a woman convicted under the provisions of this section is found upon evidence to the satisfaction of the court to be pregnant, she is liable to imprisonment for life. Concealment of treason. 51. A n y person who :— (a) becomes an accessory after the fact to treason ; or ( b ) knowing that any person intends to commit treason, does not give information thereof w i t h all reasonable despatch to the H i g h Commissioner, District Commissioner or a Police Officer, or use other reasonable endeavour to prevent the commission of the offence; is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for life.
