Section 14.- Whilst holding an inquiry, preliminary examination
or trial, if there is a reason to believe that the alleged offender or the
accused is of unsound mind and is unable to put up a defence, the
inquiry official or the Court, as the case may be, shall instruct a
medical officer to examine such person. After the examination, the
medical officer shall be summoned to make a statement or testify as
to the result of the examination.
