June 13, 2011: the judge refuses the appeal to stop execution of the judgment. June 14, 2011: ATI begins to apply filtering for its clients (public establishments). session July 4, 2011: 1st of the appeal > postponement to July 18. session July 18, 2011: 2nd of the call > postponement to August 4 session August 4, 2011: 3rd of the appeal > pleadings of both parties (with new elements), the judge announces that he will render his decision on August 15. August 15, 2011: rejection of the appeal, the judge confirmed the order of censorship at the Court of First Instance, the ATI decides to appeal to cassation, the highest legal instance in Tunisia. February 1, 2012: The Court of Cassation postpones the judgment. Tunis, November 23, 2011 Following the disruptions that occurred on one of its hosting servers on November 22, 2011 from 3:30 p.m., the Tunisian Internet Agency expresses its deep regret to its customers, and announces that the necessary measures have been taken to remedy to this situation and so that such problems do not happen again from now on. ATI reminds that it always remains attentive to all its customers and that it will spare no effort to improve the quality of service of its services. Tunis on October 12, 2011 The Tunisian Internet Agency (ATI) participates for the first time as Internet Traffic Exchange Point (IXP) of Tunisia, in the forum of the association of European IXPs ( EuroIX ) including the 19th edition takes place in Lyon on October 17 and 18, 2011. The objective is for the ATI to become a member of this association which currently brings together 61 IXPs , including four in the Africa region. To do this, the ATI should comply with the best international practices adopted by the said association, particularly in terms of technical architecture of the infrastructure deployed, transparency, pricing and accounting for the costs of services. Tunis October 7, 2011 The Tunisian Internet Agency (ATI) announces the launch of the first mirror server in the Middle East and Africa region dedicated to the Open Source Tor platform project: http://tor.mirror.tn Tunis August 15, 2011 After refusing the request of the Tunisian Internet Agency (ATI) to suspend the execution of the summary judgment of the court of first instance of Tunis relating to case n°2011/99325 dated May 26, 2011 relating to the filtering of pornographic sites, the Tunis Court of Appeal handed down a judgment (case no. 5/24675) against the ATI. In this regard, the ATI recalls that until today and since June 14, 2011, the filtering of the addresses of pornographic sites listed by Smartfilter® has not been possible for the five Internet service providers (Globalnet, Hexabyte, Orange Tunisia, Topnet and Tunet) without observing any deterioration in the quality of service (fluidity of Internet traffic) despite the many attempts and actions carried out in this direction. While expressing its deep respect for these judgment decisions, the ATI announces that it will appeal them to the Court of Cassation. Tunis July 5, 2011 In the context of summary proceedings no. 289/15 dated June 11, 2011 between the Banque Nationale des Gènes and the Tunisian Internet Agency (ATI), relating to the censorship of a Facebook page, the Court of first instance of Tunis ruled in favor of the ATI by rejecting the plaintiff's request.
