"Valuable security" includes any document w h i c h is the
property of any person, and which is evidence of the ownership of any property or of the right to recover or receive any

" W o u n d " means any incision or puncture w h i c h divides or
pierces any exterior membrane of the body, and any membrane is exterior for the purpose of this definition w h i c h can
be touched without dividing or piercing any other membrane.

6. The jurisdiction of the courts of Palestine for the purposes
of this Code extends to every place w i t h i n Palestine or w i t h i n
three nautical miles of the coast thereof measured from low water
mark.
7. W h e n an act w h i c h , if wholly done w i t h i n the jurisdiction
of the court, would be an offence against this Code, is done partly
within and partly beyond the jurisdiction, every person who
w i t h i n the jurisdiction does or makes any part of such act may
be tried and punished under this Code i n the same manner as i f
such act had been done wholly w i t h i n the jurisdiction.

8. Ignorance of the law does not afford any excuse for any act
or omission which would otherwise constitute an offence unless
knowledge of the law by the offender is expressly declared to be
an element of the offence.

to negligent acts and omissions, a person is not criminally responsible for an act or omission which occurs independently of the
exercise of his w i l l , or for an event which occurs by accident.
