Abstract This research explains the concepts of Social Technology (ST) and the Solidarity Economy (SE) and aims to determine if ST and SE can be solutions to solve or minimize the social problems in Guinea-Bissau. In Guinea-Bissau were made interviews and conversations in various organs such as the Embassy of Brazil in Guinea-Bissau, the Cultural Center Brazil Guinea-Bissau, the Ministry of Economy, the National Institute for Research and Applied Technology (INITA), the Roads and Bridges Authority, the Government of Quinhamel, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, SENAI located in Bissau, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Communications and National Institute for Agricultural Research (INPA). It was concluded that the TS and ES can solve or minimize the social problems in Guinea-Bissau. For this, the Institute of Social Technology in Guinea-Bissau is being created. Its mission is to promote cooperation between Guinea-Bissau and other countries for the generation, transfer and reapplication of Social Technologies, aimed at local development and promotion of the Solidarity Economy. Complex problems may have simple solutions. It is necessary to research, understand and share the solutions.
