The Access to Information Act, 2016 Cap. 19 2. (1) This paragraph amends the Public Archives and Documentation Service Act. (2) Section 5A of the Act is amended by inserting the following new proviso immediately after the word ―public‖ appearing in the last line of subsection (1)— ―Provided that the restriction from circulation shall only relate to exempt information provided for in section 6‖. (3) The Act is amended in section 6 by deleting subsections (2) and (3). (4) Section 7 of the Act is amended by inserting the expression ―in consultation with the Commission on Administrative Justice and‖ immediately before the words ―with the approval of the Minister‖. Public Officer Ethics Act, 2003 No. 4 of 2003 3. (1) This paragraph amends the Public Officer Ethics Act, 2003. (2) Section 41 of the Act is amended by inserting the following proviso immediately after the word ―both‖ appearing in the last line— ―Provided that the provision of this section as to divulging of information without lawful excuse shall only apply to exempt information provided for in section 6.‖ Official Secrets Act Cap. 187 4.
