45 2019 Data Protection SECOND SCHEDULE No. (s.75) CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS Written Law Births and Deaths Act (Cap. 149) Provision Amendment s.7 Capital Markets s.11(3) Act (Cap. 485A) Insertion of new section Add the following new sub-section immediately after subsection (3)— (4) The Register shall be maintained in accordance with the principles of data protection set out in the Data Protection Act. Insert the following new paragraph immediately after paragraph (v)— (va) ensure processing of personal data in the operations of capital markets is in accordance with principles set out under the Data Protection Act, 2018. Insert the following new section immediately after section 13B— Data protection principles. 18C (2) Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act. s.25 13C. The principles of personal data protection as set out in the Data Protection Act shall apply to the collection and processing of personal data by the Authority or any person authorized by the Authority. Insert the following new paragraph immediately after paragraph (d) — (e) mechanisms of protecting personal data of the data subjects in compliance with the Data Protection Act. Adding the following new paragraph immediately after paragraph (h) — (i) the principles of personal data protection set out in the Data Protection Act shall apply to the processing of personal data of voters under this Act. !
