Transitional provisions 59. ­ Repeal and savings 60. ­ Commencement An Act � To provide for more effective protection of copyright and related rights � ENACTED by the Parliament of Mauritius, as follows — PART I - PRELIMINARY � 1. � Short title This Act may be cited as the Copyright Act 2014. 2. � Interpretation In this Act “acknowledgement”, in relation to a work, means the identification of the work — ­ (a) ­ by its title or other description; and (b) ­ unless the work is anonymous or the author of the work has agreed not to be identified, by its author; “artistic, literary or scientific work” — (a) ­ means a production in the artistic, literary or scientific domain; (b) ­ includes — (i) a book, pamphlet or other writing; ­
