receives, removes, retains, conceals or disposes of such property,
is guilty of a misdemeanour.
137. A n y person who wilfully breaks, removes or renders
ineffective any seal affixed by order of a public authority or of a
court, is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment
for two years:

of the seal he is liable to imprisonment for three years.
138. A n y person who, having been entrusted w i t h the custody
of a seal affixed by order of a public authority or of a court,
negligently allows it to be broken, removed or rendered ineffective,
is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for six
months or to a fine of fifty pounds.

139. A n y person who wilfully obstructs or resists any person
lawfully charged w i t h the execution of an order or warrant of any
court, is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment
for one year.

AUTHORITY.
140. A n y person employed i n the public service who, i n the
discharge of the duties of his office, commits any fraud or breach
of trust affecting the public whether such fraud or breach of trust
would have been criminal or not if committed against a private
person, is guilty of a misdemeanour.

142. E v e r y person who wilfully disobeys any law by doing
any act which it forbids, or by omitting to do any act w h i c h it
requires to be done, and which concerns the public or any part
of the public, is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable, unless it
appears from the law that it was the intention to provide some
other penalty for such disobedience, to imprisonment for two years
or to a fine of one hundred pounds or to both such penalties.

143. E v e r y person who disobeys any order, warrant or command duly made, issued or given by any court, officer or person
acting i n any public capacity and duly authorised i n that behalf,
is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable, unless any other
penalty or mode of proceeding is expressly prescribed i n respect
of such disobedience, to imprisonment for two years.

144. A n y person who by means of gestures, words, or acts,
insults persons employed i n the public service or a judge or officer
of a religious court while he is engaged i n the performance of his
duties or i n connection w i t h his duties, is guilty of a misdemeanour
and is liable to imprisonment for six months or to a fine of twenty
pounds.
