A n y person who, with intent to procure her own miscarriage, whether she is or is not w i t h child, unlawfully administers to herself any poison or other noxious t h i n g , or uses any force of any k i n d , or uses any other means whatever, or permits any such thing or means to be administered or used to her, is guilty of a felony, and is liable to imprisonment for seven years. Supplying drugs or instruments to procure abortion. 177. A n y person who unlawfully supplies to or procures for any person anything whatever, knowing that it is intended to be unlawfully used to procure the miscarriage of a woman, whether she is or is not w i t h child, is guilty of a misdemeanour. Knowledge of age of female immaterial. 178. E x c e p t as otherwise expressly stated, it is immaterial i n the case of any of the offences committed w i t h respect to a woman or girl under a specified age, that the accused person did not know that the woman or girl was under that age, or believed that she was not under that age. Obscene publications. 179. A n y person who : — ( a ) sells or has i n his possession for sale, hire or distribution, or prints or reproduces i n any other manner for sale, hire, or distribution any obscene printed or w ritten matter, or any obscene picture, photograph, drawing or model, or any other object tending to corrupt morals; or r (6) exposes to view or distributes for exhibition i n a public place any obscene picture, photograph, drawing or model, or any other object tending to corrupt morals; or ( c ) carries on or takes part i n any business for the sale or publication or exhibition of any obscene printed or written matter, or picture, photograph, drawing or model, or other object tending to corrupt morals ; or ( d ) advertises or makes known by any means whatsoever that a person is engaged in the sale, p r i n t i n g , reproduction, exhibition, or distribution of any such obscene matter or thing or that such obscene matter or t h i n g can be procured either directly or indirectly from any person; is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for three months or to a fine of one hundred pounds, or to both such penalties. A n y person who wilfully and by fraud causes any woman who is not lawfully married to h i m to believe that she is lawfully married to h i m and to co-habit or have sexual intercourse w i t h h i m i n that belief, is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for ten years. 181. A n y person who, having a husband or wife living, marries in Palestine i n any case i n which such marriage is void by reason of its taking place during the life of such husband or wife, is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for five years. Such felony is termed bigamy : Provided that it is a good defence to a charge brought this section to prove : (a) under that the former marriage has been declared void by a court of competent jurisdiction or by a competent ecclesiastical authority ; or
