To not be condemned without previous trial, nor to be deprived of the right of defense in any state or grade of the process. To not be punished for an act or omission that in the moment that it took place was not characterized or punished as a criminal infraction; or to not be subjected to a penalty not provided by the law. In case of doubt, the Criminal Law is applied in the sense more favorable to the offender.
