Said published a video on his Facebook about the 2015 Sousse terrorist attack, stating that it was orchestrated by the security forces to frame the government's opponents and to close mosques. He also posted a caricature of the former Prime Minister. He was charged for complicity in, or facilitation of, terrorist attacks under the 2003 Anti-Terrorism Law. He was also charged for defamation against authority and to have spread knowingly fake news, under Articles 128 and 306 of the Penal Code. He was facing a possible total sentence of 19 years imprisonment maximum. Said was arrested on July 15, 2015 after presenting himself to police. They claimed he would be returned home but instead was sent to Al-Mornaguia Prison in Tunis on 22 July, 2015.
