About the Board በጠቅላይ 1/ Members of the Board, including the Chairperson, ሚኒስትሩ አቅራቢነት በሕዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር shall be nominated by the Prime Minister and የቦርዱ ቤት አባላት ሰብሳቢውን ጨምሮ ይሾማሉ፤ቁጥራቸው የሚወሰን ሆኖ ከአምስት እንደ አስፈላጊነቱ appointed by the House of People’s representatives. Although their number shall be determined as ማነስ የለበትም፡፡ deemed necessary, it shall not be less than five. ፪/ የቦርዱ አባላት ተቋማትና ስብጥር ልዩ ልዩ አግባብነት የሕብረተሰብ ካላቸው 2/ The Board shall consist of representatives of ክፍሎች appropriate institutions and different parts of the society. የተውጣጣ ይሆናል፡፡ ፫/ የቦርዱ ተጠሪነት ለሕዝብ ተወካዮች ምክር ቤት 3/ The Board shall be accountable to the House of people’s Representatives. ይሆናል፡፡ ፬/ የቦርዱ የስራ ዘመን አምስት አመት ይሆናል፡፡ 4/ The term of the Board shall be 5 years. ፭/ የአገልግሎቱ 5/ The Chief Executive Officer of the Service shall ዋና ሥራ አስፈፃሚ ያለድምፅ participate as Secretary without vote. በፀሓፊነት ይሳተፋል፡፡ ፮/ ቦርዱ የራሱን የአሰራር መመሪያ ሊያወጣ 6/ The Board may prepare its own operational Guideline. ይችላል፡፡ ፱. የቦርዱ ስልጣንና ተግባር 9. Power and Functions of the Board ቦርዱ የሚከተሉት ሥልጣንና ተግባራት ይኖሩታል፡- The Board shall have the following powers and functions: ፩/ መገናኛ ብዙሀንን ፖሊሲዎችና ህጎች የሚመለከቱ በአገልግሎቱ የመንግስት 1/ Ensure that government policies and laws ተግባራዊ pertaining to the mass media are implemented by the Service; መደረጋቸውን ያረጋግጣል፤ ፪/ በዚህ አዋጅ አንቀፅ ፭ እና ፮ የተመለከቱት 2/ Supervise the implementation of the objectives of የአገልግሎቱ ዓላማዎች፣ሥልጣንና ተግባራት ሥራ the Service as well as the powers and duties ላይ መዋላቸውን ይከታተላል፤ specified under Articles 5 and 6 of this Proclamation; ፫/ በአገልግሎቱ የሚዘጋጁ ዜና እና ዜና ነክ 3/ Ensure that News and News related information as መረጃዎች እንዲሁም ፕሮግራሞች ብሔራዊ well as programs produced by the Service bring መግባባትን ትክክለኛውን National Consensus and reflect the accurate image መሆናቸውን of the Country; አገራዊ ገፅታ ያረጋግጣል፤ የሚያመጡና የሚያንፀባርቁ
