- Notes
Al Rawabedah and Assaf were arrested in January 2015, held in solitary confinement, and charged with "insulting the King." Tried by the State Security Court, Al Rawabedah received a five-month sentence, and Assaf a three-month sentence, with early release on bail. Alkarama has asked the WGAD to review their detention as arbitrary and challenge Jordan's misuse of legal provisions.
The decision does not establish a binding or persuasive precedent within its jurisdiction.
