I hereby promulgate the Act on the Right of Access to Information, passed by the Croatian
Parliament at its session on15 February 2013.

ACT
I. GENERAL PROVISIONS

Article 1
(1) This Act shall regulate the right of access to information and re-use of information in the
possession of public authorities, stipulate the principles of the right of access to information
and re-use of information, as well as any exceptions to the right of access to information and
re-use of information, the procedure for the exercise and protection of the right of access to
information and re-use of information, scope, method of operation, and the terms and
conditions of appointing and dismissing the Information Commissioner and the inspection
supervision over the implementation of this Act.
(2) This Act shall also regulate other obligations of public authorities, as well as penal
provisions related to the exercise of the right of access to information.
