not vote on the matter. The disclosure shall be recorded in the minutes of the Board meeting. Chapter 4 The General Director Article (8) Appointment And Vacancy Of Office The General Director shall be appointed by a decree based on the proposal by the Council of Ministers upon the recommendation of the Board for a period of three years, and his term of office may be renewed only once for another similar period. In the event of the office of the General Director becomes vacant upon the expiry of the term of office, resignation, dismissal or death of the General Director, a replacement shall be appointed by virtue of the same instrument as indicated and in the same manner. The Chairman or any duly qualified Person appointed by the Board shall assume the position on a temporary basis until a new General Director is appointed. Article (9) Competence The powers of the Authority as set forth in this Law shall be exercised by the General Director, who shall in this respect be subject to the supervision of the Board.
