state the delay within which the corrections are to be effected or the
missing documents are to be furnished.
(4)
Where no correction is made or no document is furnished within the delay
specified in paragraph (3)(d), the application shall be deemed not to have been
filed.

(1)
Subject to paragraph (2), the Controller shall notify the applicant, in
writing, of the filing date as soon as he is satisfied that section 18 of the
Act has been complied with.
(2)
Where the Controller refuses to accord a filing date to an application, he
shall notify the applicant, in writing, specifying the reasons for his
decision.

(1)
Where a filing date to an application has been given by the Controller, he shall
examine the application pursuant to section 19 of the Act.
(2)
Where the Controller is satisfied that the conditions set down in section 19(1) of
the Act have been complied with, he shall grant the patent and the applicant shall
be so notified in writing.
(3)
Where 2 or more applications for a patent for the same invention, having the
same filing date or, where applicable, the same priority date, are filed by the
same applicant, the Controller may refuse to grant a patent in respect of more
than one applications.
(4)
Where the Controller refuses to grant a patent in respect of more than one
applications under paragraph (3), he shall notify the applicant in writing,
specifying the reasons for the decision.
(5)
Where the Controller rejects an application under section 20(2) of the Act, he
shall notify the applicant in writing, specifying the reasons for his decision.
