Title Electronic government Policy in Mozambique: a view from the perspective of an information culture Abstract Introduction: This paper discusses about the importance of the information culture concept on formulation and implementation of the Electronic government Policy in Mozambique, as subdomain of information policy. Objective: The objective of this paper is to present a reflection about the use of information culture in the Electronic government Policy in Mozambique, considering the socio cultural situation of the country. Methodology: Literature Review. Results: Based on Mozambican point of view there is no explanation of the government information that guides their actions and programs, in particular of the Electronic government project as well as there is a certain fragility of resources and information structures, reinforced due to the lack of inclusion in the public policy information, based on socio-cultural realities of Mozambique.
